AS well as top class sport and entertainment the organiser’s of this year’s Equitop Bolesworth Young Horse Championship will be providing a platform for riders and producers to promote their horses with facilities onsite for potential customers to trial and vet horses they would like to purchase.
One of the aims of this new and exciting show is for it to become a hub for equestrian trade both within the UK and with the rest of the world, providing a trade centre of excellence for networking, buying and selling horses of Olympic calibre.
With a host of high-class show jumping and equestrian sport – August 14 to 18 in the stunning grounds of Bolesworth Castle – the event will provide a fantastic occasion for equestrian sport enthusiasts.
The show will incorporate the Official British Showjumping Young Horse Championships and qualifiers for the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH) Championships, held at Lanaken in September.
Said Bolesworth Managing Director, Nina Barbour: “We are delighted that so many young horse producers and professionals are supporting the show and bringing horses with outstanding potential for the future.
“Riders of both young horses and CSI 2* horses will be given the option to ride with a Bolesworth branded disc on their saddle cloth, which will mean that their horse is for sale and they are happy to be approached by prospective buyers.
“A clear round ring will be set up in the Lake Arena, to be used to trial horses, with the possibility to hire the ring for a longer period of time.”
The Veterinary team from Hird & Partners will set up the Equestrian Complex at Bolesworth Lake Farm with x ray and scanning facilities, with their top sport horse vets on site - including Peter Schofield - to facilitate vettings during the week or on the Monday after the show has finished. Vettings can be booked via the secretary’s office.
Official show partners will have the indoor and outdoor facilities at the Equestrian Complex available to show horses to potential customers with a shuttle available for horses from the show stables.
The Club Boles Hospitality marquee will be open to all guests to network throughout the event with VIP tables available in a reserved area within the same space.
The show will see the launch of two exciting new auctions; the Elite Ramiro B Auction, Wednesday 14th August, showcasing an exceptional selection of youngstock (foals – 3yrs) all progeny of the late great Ramiro B, and the Bolesworth AES Elite Foal Auction on Friday 16th August.
Added Nina: “We are particularly excited about showcasing the best of British youngstock from foals up to proven young horses competing in World Ranking Classes, and I can confirm that we have an absolutely stand out collection of foals – in my opinion the best a UK auction has seen to date.”
Tickets are now on sale at just £5 with free parking, when booked in advance online, giving event goers the chance to watch superb competition in an iconic setting, with access to view all Auctions and Young Horses that have been put forward for sale.
