A mammoth CSI2* Two Phase went to Matt Sampson after a fast paced jump-off at the Equitop Bolesworth Young Horse Show.
The Sunday afternoon class sponsored by John Whitaker International saw Matt clear over the 1.35m course in 30.56 seconds, riding his own Firefly W.
Said Matt, a winner just a few hours earlier of the Six-year-old Championships: “He’s a great horse and went really well in the jump-off. It was a fast class and took some winning, it’s a good day for me.”
In second place was Amanda Bywater riding Triple Twist with the inform Zach Beesley taking third with Ultima to round off a very busy and successful show.
In the Gaskells Waste sponsored Children on Horses Championships, the Castle Arena hosted a win for Jasmin Clark and Bellelulu D’aubigny, a new ride of six weeks.
Southampton-based Jasmin is just 12 and was one of two clears, second going to the established partnership of Matilda Lanni and Dream Du Toultia Z, a winner earlier this week.
Said Jasmin: “We are such a new partnership but she really gives me confidence and helped me out at the second last fence when we went in a bit deep.
“She is still in Newcomers and very green but went fantastic today.”
